One of the globally leading semiconductor companies approached us about upgrading their 15 year old data center to improve energy efficiency and reduce their electricity bill.

Solution and Work Process

Alexander Schneider’s proposed design was accepted and implemented. Old DX CRAC units were replaced with energy efficient chilled water Liebert CRACs with EC fans.  Alexander Schneider supplied and installed several data center PODS, each comprised of 20 Panduit server and network cabinets.

The energy efficiency was further enhanced with cold aisle containment and an innovative Smart Aisle airflow management regime.

Result

Thanks to Alexander Schneider’s professional solution, the data center’s PUE has improved from 1.75 to 1.58, saving the customer 300,000 NIS per year.
